Any of the following scenarios can happen to YOU!
Mr. L Heard was walking to his desk when he suddenly collapsed. Someone
called 911 while his concerned co-workers gathered around him. Heavy traffic
delayed the paramedics for more than ten minutes. Mr. Heard was not breathing
and turning blue while his co-workers stood helpless, not knowing what
to do.
As an employer, you can educate your employees so they know what to
do in an emergency!
As the Clark family celebrated little Katie's 5th birthday, her mother
Lisa noticed that Katie's baby brother had stopped making his usual baby
sounds and was having difficulty breathing. Lisa quickly determined that
the baby was choking on something. Having just completed her CPR class
she knew exactly what to do. Lisa picked the baby up and administered
a maneuver she had been taught, and the baby began breathing normally.
You can learn how to save the life of someone you love!
Vacationers lined up to board an airplane to Tahiti. Suddenly Ted Stark,
who had a history of heart problems, clutched his chest and fell to the
floor. Fellow passenger Bill Sleet went to assist him. Bill began CPR
but could not feel a pulse. Bill looked up and identified a man in a blue
shirt and instructed him to call 911 and to retrieve the defibrillator
off a nearby wall. The passenger complied and Bill began following the
defibrillator's instructions. After about five minutes, the paramedics
arrived and continued to stabilize Mr. Stark.
Doctors say that one of the most common reasons that people die in these
scenarios is that no one nearby knows the life sustaining techniques of
CPR. Emergencies can happen at any time. Are you prepared to save a life?
